About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and talented Director of Trade Marketing to join our team. In this role, you will lead the strategy and execution of retail marketing initiatives across Sephora, Boots and key global retail programming for ONE/SIZE across thousands of doors in over 35 countries. This role is responsible for translating brand and product priorities into compelling in-store and omnichannel retail experiences that drive conversion, sell-through, and long-term brand equity at retail. This role supports both domestic (Sephora US) and international retail partners, requiring experience navigating multi-market retail environments, regional differences, and global go-to-market execution. This leader will act as the key connector between Brand & Product Marketing, Partnerships, Creative, Sales, Finance & Operations, and Retail Partners ensuring that marketing plans are effectively brought to life in-store and online with excellence, consistency, and commercial impact. They will balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, operating as a strong cross-functional operator who ensures priorities are clearly translated into retail-ready programs. The ideal candidate has deep experience in global beauty or consumer retail marketing, a strong understanding of Sephora and prestige retail environments, and a proven ability to drive results through trade programming, shopper marketing, and retail storytelling. This role is international in scope and will require flexibility in travel, time zones, and other needs as arising. As a member of the Marketing team, you will collaborate with all teams cross-functionally and report directly to SVP of Global Marketing. HYBRID: This role is classified as exempt from the Fair Labor Los Angeles, CA. While the position is primarily remote, it follows a hybrid schedule requiring occasional in-person work at Culver City, CA 90230. The role requires working PST hours, so candidates located on the West Coast are preferred. A reliable internet connection and a dedicated workspace free from significant distractions are essential for remote work.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in trade marketing, shopper marketing, retail marketing, or related roles.
  • Experience working across international or multi-market retail environments, with an understanding of regional differences in consumer behavior, retail execution, and go-to-market strategy.
  • Strong experience working with Sephora and/or prestige beauty retail accounts. Experience supporting global or regional accounts (e.g., Sephora US + Sephora EU/UK or other international prestige retailers) strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of driving sell-through and retail performance through marketing initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of retail environments, shopper behavior, and omnichannel marketing.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and external agency partners.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actionable retail strategies.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with shifting priorities.
  • Hands-on operator who can balance strategy with executional detail.

Responsibilities

  • Translate brand and product marketing priorities into integrated trade marketing plans across Sephora and global retail partners.
  • Adapt trade marketing strategies across multiple regions and retail environments, ensuring programs are culturally and commercially relevant across international markets.
  • Develop and execute retail-specific marketing programs that drive awareness, conversion, and sell-through at shelf and online.
  • Align with Sales and Retail partners on priorities, launch calendars, and execution requirements to ensure flawless in-store and digital execution.
  • Tailor brand storytelling for retail environments while maintaining consistency with overall brand positioning.
  • Serve as a key marketing partner to Sephora and international retail accounts, supporting joint business planning and marketing activation across multiple regions and market structures.
  • Collaborate with retail partners to maximize visibility, merchandising impact, and promotional effectiveness.
  • Support seasonal and priority programs including launches, endcaps, animations, and digital retail placements.
  • Ensure strong alignment between internal teams and retailer requirements, timelines, and expectations.
  • Lead trade marketing execution for product launches, ensuring strong retail readiness across all touchpoints.
  • Develop shopper marketing strategies that influence purchase behavior in-store and online.
  • Create compelling retail messaging, assets, and tools that support education, conversion, and brand differentiation at point of sale.
  • Partner with Product Marketing and Creative teams to adapt campaigns for retail environments.
  • Work closely with Brand Marketing, Product Marketing, Creative, Ecommerce, and Sales teams to ensure cohesive execution across channels.
  • Act as a central coordinator to ensure retail priorities are clearly integrated into broader marketing plans.
  • Drive clarity on timelines, deliverables, and responsibilities across teams to ensure smooth execution of retail programs.
  • Track and analyze retail performance metrics including sell-through, conversion, promotional effectiveness, and program ROI.
  • Use retailer data, consumer insights, and post-launch analysis to optimize future trade programs and retail activations.
  • Develop clear reporting on retail marketing performance and share actionable insights with leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Continuously refine trade marketing strategy based on results, trends, and retailer feedback.
  • Manage trade marketing budgets across Sephora and global retail accounts, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Oversee agency, production, and vendor partnerships supporting retail execution.
  • Ensure programs are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned to commercial objectives.
  • Partner with field teams and retail partners to ensure in-store execution excellence.
  • Support retail training and education initiatives to improve brand knowledge and product storytelling at point of sale.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance in-store presence, merchandising, and consumer experience.
  • Own detailed project management across multiple retail programs simultaneously, ensuring all timelines, deliverables, and dependencies are clearly defined, tracked, and executed on time.
  • Build and maintain robust tracking systems, workflows, and operating rhythms that improve visibility, accountability, and execution efficiency across teams and partners.
  • Serve as the central hub for retail marketing execution, ensuring alignment across Brand, Product Marketing, Sales, Creative, and external retail partners.
  • Drive operational excellence by tightening processes, improving communication flow, and ensuring that priorities are consistently translated into actionable workstreams.
