About The Position
As the Director of Technical Program Management at Convera, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless alignment of our technology program execution with our organizational strategy. You will lead a team of Technical Program Managers, providing strategic direction, mentorship, and guidance to optimize program and project execution. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of technology, strong business acumen, exceptional leadership skills, and a track record of delivering complex initiatives on time and within budget.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Master’s preferred).
- Proven experience in technical program management, with a minimum of 5-7 years of leadership experience.
- Strong understanding of technology, software development, and project management methodologies.
- Exceptional leadership and team-building skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Strategic thinker with a track record of successfully aligning technology initiatives with business goals.
- Proficiency in program management software and tools.
Nice To Haves
- Engineering or product management experience is a plus.
- Experience leading TPM teams at a fintech or tech company.
- Hands-on experience using AI to drive efficiency in program planning, monitoring, and execution.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of Technical Program Managers, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and collaboration.
- Set clear objectives, performance expectations, and career development plans for team members.
- Drive continuous improvement in technical program management and governance methodologies and practices.
- Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executives, cross-functional teams, and external partners.
- Work with your team to communicate program status, issues, and risks effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
- Oversee program risk management, issue resolution, and escalation procedures. Lead your team to identify and resolve trade-offs and blockers.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define and align program objectives with overall company goals and objectives.
- Help management forecast and mitigate potential capacity issues and define resourcing models to meet our strategic goals.
