Reporting to the Dean, the Director, Teaching and Learning provides visionary leadership for a multidisciplinary team of digital learning and teaching and learning specialists within the Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL). The Director champions exemplary, evidence-based, and future-focused teaching practice. Working in close partnership with faculty members, Academic Faculties, and the Academic Leadership Team (ALT), the Director advances DC's Digital Learning Strategy, leads the responsible integration of Generative AI in teaching and learning, and cultivates a scholarly, innovative teaching culture that prepares career-ready graduates for a rapidly changing world. This role is central to advancing the goals of the 2025–2030 Academic Plan to enhance exemplary teaching and learning practices, foster a scholarly approach to teaching, strengthen faculty digital fluency, and continually renew our educational technology and teaching resources, all in service of a future-focused college.
