About The Position

The Aspen Group (TAG) is a large retail healthcare business support organization that has supported thousands of healthcare professionals and team members across numerous states and categories including dental care, urgent care, medical aesthetics, and animal health. TAG partners with independent practice owners and clinicians to improve healthcare. TAG provides centralized business support services for brands like Aspen Dental, ClearChoice Dental Implant Centers, WellNow Urgent Care, Chapter Aesthetic Studio, and Lovet Pet Health Care. This role is with the Lovet team, a growing family of animal hospitals. The Director, Talent Acquisition will impact the organization's growth by attracting key clinical talent. This is a highly visible and mission-critical leadership role responsible for developing, implementing, and driving enterprise-wide Talent Acquisition strategies. The role requires strategic vision and hands-on scaling expertise to strengthen and elevate the recruitment team that supports the acquisition of veterinary care professionals. The Director will design an effective team structure and develop a high-performing team. Responsibilities include overseeing the full candidate lifecycle, enhancing recruitment processes, and partnering with leadership.

Requirements

  • Proven success leading a recruitment function and managing a diverse team within a multi-site organization (experience in animal or human healthcare strongly preferred)
  • Experience with industry and academic relations recruiting
  • Strong data and analytics acumen, with the ability to measure performance and communicate progress through metrics
  • Deep knowledge of Talent Acquisition tools and systems, including experience with system implementations and roadmaps
  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with leaders at all levels, delivering exceptional service and building strong client relationships
  • Flexible and adaptable, thriving in a fast-paced, hyper-growth or start-up environment
  • Experienced in building scalable Talent Acquisition foundations to support rapid expansion
  • Innovative and creative in recruiting approaches, with a passion for experimenting with new sourcing and engagement strategies

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy to identify and hire providers at all stages of their careers
  • Build, structure, and lead a high-performing recruiting team, providing direction across full-cycle recruitment strategy, staffing best practices, systems, and technology
  • Design an efficient organizational structure for Talent Acquisition and develop A+ recruiting talent
  • Enhance Lovet’s visibility and reputation in key recruiting markets, positioning us as the employer of choice ahead of the competition
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to leadership, partnering to drive talent attraction, networking, and diversity & inclusion initiatives
  • Develop, implement, and report on metrics to assess the effectiveness of programs, initiatives, and team performance in support of enterprise goals
  • Identify, implement, and monitor staffing best practices to improve efficiency and quality while reducing cost and time-to-fill
  • Oversee the use of assessment tools within the hiring process
  • Collaborate with the broader TAG community to leverage Centers of Excellence and peer expertise
  • Partner with business leaders to design and execute staffing plans that optimize the mix of internal and external hiring
  • Build relationships with external thought leaders in the Talent Acquisition space
  • Lead and innovate graduate hiring strategy, positioning Lovet as the #1 destination for veterinary students
  • Evaluate and improve current processes, policies, and procedures to drive continuous improvement
  • Develop and deliver training programs for hiring managers, recruiters, and candidates to improve hiring effectiveness and reduce turnover
  • Serve as a brand ambassador at in-person and virtual events
  • Cultivate and nurture strong talent pipelines to support long-term hiring success
  • Scale the Talent Acquisition function to support hyper-growth phases
  • Leverage modern recruiting marketing methodologies to engage talent in their native environments and drive top-of-funnel activity
