Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related design discipline from an accredited institution.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in Interior Design, Architecture, or related fields, including leadership of multifamily residential, hospitality, mixed-use, or large-scale commercial projects.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams, mentoring talent, and managing multiple concurrent projects.
  • Expertise across all phases of the design process, including Programming, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documentation, Construction Administration, and FF&E procurement.
  • Strong project management, budgeting, scheduling, and consultant management experience.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on project execution.
  • Proficiency in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, Enscape, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel periodically within the US.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design vision and execution for all interior-related projects, including new developments, capital improvement projects, and renovations.
  • Oversee a portfolio of projects from concept through construction completion, ensuring design excellence and quality.
  • Direct and perform all phases of interior design, including programming, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, FF&E selection, procurement coordination, and construction administration.
  • Manage project pipelines, forecasting, staffing plans, and department priorities to meet business objectives.
  • Establish and grow a Dallas-based interior design studio, including recruitment, mentoring, performance management, and professional development of designers.
  • Build a scalable team structure that supports current and future project volume.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on creativity, innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Manage workload planning, resource allocation, and team utilization to ensure effective project delivery and team development.
  • Proactively collaborate with Arlington, VA based design studio for design quality, consistency and efficiency.
