About The Position

The Director, SMR - EPC spearheads the strategic growth, operational execution, and financial performance of Rosendin’s Small Modular Reactor Engineering, Procurement, and Construction portfolio. The role establishes the operational direction for an emerging business area, develops critical client and industry relationships, and oversees delivery of complex nuclear infrastructure projects. The Director’s leadership influences Rosendin’s long-term market position and financial results. The position develops and leads the portfolio’s business and operating strategy, owns its financial performance, sets market priorities, and oversees the full EPC project lifecycle. It also leads and develops project, engineering, and operations teams; manages risks and compliance; collaborates with executive leadership on market opportunities and investments; and represents Rosendin in the SMR and advanced nuclear energy industry. Work is performed primarily in an office setting, with periodic travel to project sites, client offices, and industry events. Travel of up to 35% is required. Site visits may involve active construction environments, uneven terrain, ladders, and varying weather conditions, and require appropriate personal protective equipment. The role requires working effectively under pressure and meeting deadlines in a dynamic, high-stakes industry.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Nuclear Engineering, Business Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience.
At least 15 years of progressive experience in electrical construction or EPC project delivery, with significant focus on complex industrial, power generation, or critical infrastructure projects.
At least 7 years of senior management or director-level leadership experience, including direct P&L responsibility and oversight of large-scale portfolios or divisions.
Proven success leading business development, securing projects, and cultivating strategic client relationships.
Exceptional leadership and team-building capabilities, including experience leading senior-level project and functional teams in a complex EPC environment.
Strong financial acumen and business management skills, including P&L responsibility, strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management.
Deep technical understanding of EPC project delivery in power generation, heavy industrial, or nuclear sectors, along with strong project management methodologies.
Ability to develop and execute complex business strategies, identify market opportunities, and drive sustainable growth in new or emerging sectors.
Advanced negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills for working with clients, industry partners, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders.
Thorough knowledge of construction safety regulations, quality assurance/quality control programs, and industry best practices for large-scale, high-hazard projects.
Ability to travel up to 35% to project sites, client locations, and industry events.
Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use office equipment for extended periods; navigate active construction sites, including uneven terrain and ladders; and wear required PPE on job sites.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) license, Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or equivalent credentials.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and lead the business and operating strategy for Rosendin’s SMR EPC portfolio, aligned with company objectives, market conditions, and approved investment plans.
Own portfolio financial performance, including P&L accountability, budgeting, forecasting, profitability, cash flow, cost management, and financial commitments.
Establish market priorities, develop pursuit strategies, and build client and industry relationships to secure projects and expand Rosendin’s presence in advanced nuclear energy.
Provide executive oversight across the EPC project lifecycle, from initial development and preconstruction through engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
Lead, mentor, and develop project managers, engineers, and operational leaders, fostering safety, quality, innovation, and employee ownership.
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with contracts, regulatory requirements, safety standards, and nuclear construction quality-control programs.
Partner with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to evaluate market opportunities, allocate resources, and drive strategic investments in SMR capabilities.
Represent Rosendin in the SMR and advanced nuclear energy industry, including through industry associations, conferences, and stakeholder engagements.
