The Director/Senior Director of Brand, Marketing & Communications serves as the chief architect and steward of the Anne Carlsen brand, ensuring that every message, story, and experience reflects the organization’s mission to make the world a more inclusive place where independence is a gift to all. Reporting directly to the CEO and serving as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, this position leads an integrated strategy that unites brand, marketing, communications, digital engagement, executive messaging, internal alignment, and storytelling into one cohesive vision. This leader serves as a strategic communications advisor to the CEO, helping translate organizational priorities into clear, consistent, and compelling messages for employees, families, donors, policymakers, partners, referral sources, and the broader public. While events are housed within the Foundation/Fundraising department, this position provides brand, messaging, and experience-design leadership through a dotted-line relationship to ensure Anne Carlsen events consistently reflect the organization’s identity, mission, and strategic priorities. This is a hands-on leadership role suited for a strategic builder, someone who can operate at both the executive and tactical levels while developing a focused, high-impact brand, marketing, and communications function over time.
