About The Position

This position is in our Food Enterprise where we are committed to serving food manufacturers, food service customers, and retailers with a complete range of innovative ingredients and branded products. Our portfolio includes poultry, beef, egg, alternative protein, salt, oils, starches, sweeteners, cocoa and chocolate. The Director, Sales - Retail Canada will develop the strategy, sales team and processes to achieve revenue targets for all sales teams. In this role, you will provide the team with a strategic vision and tactical direction, oversee and direct the responsibilities of employees and represent the company in promoting and selling products and services.

Requirements

  • Diploma/Certificate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of six years of related work experience
  • Possess a valid Canadian Full Class 5 Driver’s License in good standing, authorizing you to drive independently during the course of your employment
  • Able and willing to travel up to 35% of the time for business
  • Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada

Nice To Haves

  • Three years of supervisory experience
  • Strategic retail account management experience
  • Knowledge in food products and retail
  • Strong negotiation, influencing and persuasive skills
  • 10 years of experience in key account activities
  • Experience in data insights

Responsibilities

  • Support business growth by driving insights that promotes a favorable view of the organization and our products and services.
  • Participate in planning, developing and delivering the go-to-market strategy for products, services and associated brands.
  • Establish and implement a strategy that has an impact on business results aligned with the organization objectives.
  • Manage current partner relationships while continuing to identify potential customers.
  • Develop plans and deliver results in a fast-changing business or regulatory environment, while leading and developing a team of experienced professionals and supervisors, coaching and making decisions related to talent management hiring, performance and disciplinary actions. You will also collaborate with managers and supervisors in your organization to ensure staff selections align with current and next needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
