About The Position

Ashley Regional hospital is part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare delivery network. The Director will develop and implement departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the organization's clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements. This role involves directing and evaluating departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives. Planning and monitoring staffing activities such as hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives is also a key responsibility. The Director will prepare, monitor, and evaluate departmental budgets, ensuring compliance with allocated funding, and coordinate/direct internal/external audits. Creating and fostering an environment that encourages professional growth and integrating evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols are essential. Regular and reliable attendance is expected, along with performing direct patient care nursing responsibilities and other duties as assigned. This position serves both internal co-workers and external customers, clients, patients, contractors, and vendors, and may involve access to sensitive and/or confidential information.

Requirements

  • Current state RN license OR compact License with Utah endorsement.
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Associates degree required.
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS within 6 months

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred.
  • Applicable work experience may be used in lieu of education.
  • One-year previous experience preferred.
