About The Position

The Director, Revenue Operations Technology is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the strategy, delivery/engineering, and support of mission critical revenue operations technologies. This individual is the senior technology leader tasked with developing and deploying online/onsite global food & merchandise technology solutions that enable UDX’s strategic growth plans and priorities. This role manages the delivery of complex multi-year capital programs focused on our food & merchandise businesses; and be the key driver of advanced capabilities that will enable world class guest experiences using technology. This role includes hands-on management of the application architecture and delivery of related deployments such as break-fix patches, system upgrades, and system enhancements. This role will partner closely within Technology/Engineering, Corporate Technology/Infrastructure/Security, Digital Product/Innovation, PMO, data science; business divisions; and functional support partners like Finance, Sourcing, and HR. This leader must inspire long-term technology enabled business growth & innovation at UDX and be a responsible steward for revenue operations technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, Analytics, or related field from a four-year college or university is required.
  • 10+ years in progressive technology delivery and implementation; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10+ years experience in global large scale/enterprise system implementations; cross-functional/ERP experience; proven success deploying highly integrated complex applications in a food/retail/hospitality industry.
  • Demonstrated technical strategic ability (design to implementation) and ability to manage complex technical delivery at a global scale.
  • Proven experience building long-term strategic technology partner relationships.
  • Demonstrated experience with food/retail application/technology that combines digital and legacy technology stacks; migrations and system modernization experience a plus.
  • Experience in executive communication, relationship building and decision making; expert at stakeholder and partner management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage implementation of large complex IT systems, ensure high quality, performance, and compliance with the information security standards.
  • Ensure IT programs are properly planned/staffed/executed; budget is accurately projected & managed; risks are identified and mitigated timely & responsibly.
  • Facilitate and promote collaboration with business users, internal & external technology teams to deliver core and strategic system capabilities.
  • Establish positive working relationships with Revenue Operations business and technology groups and external partners.
  • Lead and mentor direct reports/team members in day-to-day management and administration of UPR digital transformation.
  • Provides clear executive decision-making and priority management; coaches and builds confidence in staff to make good business decisions using technology & analytical thinking.
  • Promote working culture of accountability and technology depth to support Universal’s physical and virtual business aspirations.
  • Drive Universal Culture of team-member satisfaction through effective communication, planning, risk management, and coaching of high-potential candidates at every level of the organization.
  • Work seamlessly with other Digital and Technology & business unit leaders to architect and build best in class solutions and experiences.
  • Develop, drive, and build consensus for a comprehensive revenue operations technology strategy.
  • Collaborate with business & technology groups, third party partners to develop and co-create cutting-edge technology solutions.
  • Create innovative technology capabilities.
  • Generate & manage short term/long term execution plans.
  • Develop scalable system architecture to enable business flexibility and growth.
  • Deliver high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software for a variety of applications & channel solutions; contribute technically to projects.
  • Provide technical subject matter expertise and thought leadership on food/retail technology solutions.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
