About The Position

EverCommerce Solutions Inc. is seeking a Director, Quality Assurance to develop and execute the overall QA vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with product and engineering goals. This role involves building, scaling, and leading a global QA team, establishing KPIs and metrics, and designing robust automated testing frameworks. The Director will oversee performance/load testing, CI/CD pipelines, and leverage cloud services. They will also evaluate and integrate AI-driven QA tools, stay updated on testing trends, and collaborate with various departments to ensure software quality and release readiness. A key aspect of this role is ensuring compliance with healthcare standards like HIPAA and HITRUST, and applying knowledge of healthcare domains to ensure software meets industry-specific quality standards, patient safety requirements, and clinical workflow needs. The position requires managing distributed/offshore QA teams and performing various types of automated testing using modern tools. Experience with CI/CD tools, cloud platforms, AI testing tools, healthcare compliance standards, Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform is essential. The role also involves domestic travel once per quarter.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Business Informatics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
  • At least five (5) years of experience as a Principal Applications Developer, Lead Architect, Sr. QA Engineer, Product Test Engineer, Network Administrator, or a closely related occupation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Informatics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
  • At least seven (7) years of experience as a Principal Applications Developer, Lead Architect, Sr. QA Engineer, Product Test Engineer, Network Administrator, or a closely related occupation.
  • Five (5) years of experience in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and prior experience in: SaaS platforms in healthcare, life sciences, or similarly regulated industries.
  • Performing frameworks and load testing of cloud-based applications.
  • Healthcare Applications testing.
  • Managing distributed/offshore QA teams.
  • Each of the following modern test automation tools: Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, and TestNG.
  • Each of the following CI/CD tools and cloud platforms: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS, Azure, OCI and GCP.
  • Each of the following AI testing tools: Testim, Functionize, and Mabl.
  • Healthcare compliance standards including HIPAA and HITECH/HITRUST 2.
  • Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Testing and developing terraform infrastructure scripts.
  • Domestic travel is required once per quarter for up to 3 to 4 days per trip.
  • Must have U.S. employment authorization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the overall QA vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with product and engineering goals.
  • Build, scale, and lead a global QA team, including onshore and offshore members.
  • Establish KPIs, metrics, and reporting processes to measure software quality and team effectiveness.
  • Design and oversee robust automated testing frameworks including UI, API, performance, and regression.
  • Ensure comprehensive performance/load testing strategies are in place for high-volume SaaS environments.
  • Oversee and improve CI/CD pipelines for continuous deployment.
  • Leverage AWS, Azure/OCI or GCP services to scale testing infrastructure.
  • Evaluate and integrate AI-driven QA tools to enhance testing accuracy, coverage, and speed.
  • Stay up to date on the latest testing tools, frameworks, and trends—introduce best-of-breed technologies.
  • Work closely with Product Management, Engineering, Compliance, and Customer Support to ensure test coverage and release readiness.
  • Collaborate with Regulatory and Security teams to meet HIPAA, HITRUST, and other compliance requirements.
  • Champion quality and operational excellence by promoting test-first and shift-left approaches.
  • Continuously improve QA practices, tools, and team performance.
  • Use SaaS platforms in regulated industries including healthcare and life sciences to validate software quality, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain audit-ready documentation.
  • Perform frameworks and load testing of cloud-based applications.
  • Apply knowledge in healthcare domains to ensure software meets industry-specific quality standards, patient safety requirements, and clinical workflow needs.
  • Manage distributed/offshore QA teams.
  • Perform automated functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing using modern test automation tools including Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, and TestNG.
  • Use CI/CD tools and cloud platforms including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS, Azure/OCI and GCP to implement continuous testing pipelines, automate deployment validation, and ensure release quality.
  • Use AI-enhanced testing tools including Testim, Functionize, and Mabl.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare standards including HIPAA and HITECH/HITRUST 2.
  • Use Kubernetes, Docker, container and networking expertise to accelerate test automation, improve test coverage, and reduce manual testing effort.
  • Test and develop terraform infrastructure scripts.
