About The Position

The Department of Psychology at Penn State seeks a full-time Director for the Penn State Psychological Clinic. The Psychological Clinic is a fully licensed comprehensive outpatient community mental health center for the region, as well as the training and research site for the Ph.D. program in Clinical Psychology. The clinic is among the largest associated with a doctoral training program in the United States, providing psychological and neuropsychological assessment for adults, adolescents, and children; psychological and psychiatric outpatient treatment for adults, including those with serious mental illness and personality pathology; psychological outpatient treatment for families, adolescents, and children, and school-based intervention programs. Faculty supervisors and clinical staff are licensed and paneled with major insurance companies to bill for services. The Psychological Clinic employs two full-time assistant directors, a medical director, psychiatric staff, and a diverse team of full- and part-time clinical and administrative staff. Penn State is an APA- and PCSAS-accredited clinical science doctoral program. The Psychological Clinic facilitates the seamless integration of research and practice in clinical training in two parallel tracks (adult and child) for conducting clinical investigations, which also includes a fully developed adult-track practice-research network. This position is a full-time Academic Administrator which is a non-tenure-track clinical faculty position. This position will be filled at the academic rank of Clinical Professor or Associate Clinical Professor; rank and length of term will be commensurate with experience.

Requirements

  • Doctorate from an APA- or PCSAS-approved program
  • Completed an accredited internship
  • Eligible for licensure in PA by the appointment date
