Fanatics Collectibles•Los Angeles, CA
•$173,650 - $184,000

About The Position

Fanatics Collectibles is seeking a Director of Project Management to lead day-to-day execution, with a focus on its Entertainment portfolio. As additional licenses come online, this leader will help scale the development and launch of licensed trading-card products. The role leads an existing team of project management professionals and builds the processes, operating rhythms, and cross-functional alignment needed to support a growing portfolio. It combines resolving immediate execution challenges with creating a more predictable and scalable project management function. The role is suited to a leader with experience in licensed physical products, consumer products, entertainment merchandise, or a similarly complex product-development environment, who can navigate external licensor requirements, shifting dependencies, and high-visibility launches.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive experience leading complex project or program management within licensed physical products, consumer products, entertainment merchandise, or a related environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and developing project management professionals.
  • Track record of improving processes while maintaining accountability for active, fast-moving work.
  • Experience navigating external licensors, intellectual-property requirements, or other dependencies outside the organization’s direct control.
  • Strong executive communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to bring structure and clarity to evolving, ambiguous, or high-pressure environments.
  • Experience with project tracking, forecasting, and portfolio-reporting tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Direct experience with Workfront or Airtable.
  • Interest in sports, entertainment, trading cards, or collectibles.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Entertainment project management team by setting priorities, clarifying ownership, coaching team members, and fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee end-to-end development and launch of multiple licensed trading-card properties, keeping dependencies, milestones, risks, and decisions visible and actively managed.
  • Act as a senior escalation point for product-development and launch issues, bringing internal teams and external partners together to reach timely solutions.
  • Improve project management processes, tools, reporting, and communication practices to support portfolio growth and consistent, predictable execution.
  • Coordinate with product teams, executives, and external licensors, including partners unfamiliar with trading-card development.
  • Anticipate potential issues, develop mitigation plans, and clearly communicate portfolio risks and tradeoffs to senior leadership.
