About The Position

As the Director, Project Management, you will play a critical role in shaping, scaling, and operationalizing PMO capabilities across the enterprise. This role partners closely with the VP of PMO to build and mature the function, establish delivery best practices, and define how projects and programs are executed at scale. You will be instrumental in creating standards, frameworks, and tools that enable consistent, high-quality delivery across a complex, fast-paced environment. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys being both strategic and hands-on — building process while driving execution. The ideal candidate is proactive, confident operating independently, and energized by bringing clarity, structure, and momentum to evolve.

Requirements

  • PMP Certification (required) — certification must be current and maintained in accordance with PMI requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in program and/or project management leading large, strategic, and complex programs at the enterprise level
  • Proven ability to lead through ambiguity — makes sound decisions with limited information, adapts quickly to evolving priorities, and brings structure where none exists
  • Highly self-directed — demonstrates initiative, ownership, and accountability; able to define and drive outcomes with minimal oversight
  • Strategic mindset with hands-on execution — balances long-term PMO vision with effective day-to-day program leadership
  • Demonstrated success in building or scaling a PMO, including development of governance models, frameworks, and operating processes
  • Experience developing PMO templates, playbooks, and standardized processes that drive consistency and efficiency
  • Strong experience in PMO tool discovery, selection, and implementation (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or similar platforms)
  • Exceptional organizational and planning skills — able to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously with attention to detail and timelines
  • Strong stakeholder and communication skills — able to influence without authority, translate complex ideas into actionable plans, and build trust across the enterprise
  • Results-oriented with a change leadership mindset — drives accountability, removes barriers, and delivers measurable outcomes in fast-paced, high-change environments
  • Experience working across enterprise-scale, cross-functional programs

  • Six Sigma Black Belt Certification (preferred)
  • Prefer candidates who can type at least 35 words per minute with 97% accuracy.
  • flexibility to travel as needed is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead large, complex, enterprise-wide programs that span multiple business units, functions, and geographies
  • Drive the development and implementation of PMO standards, methodologies, templates, and playbooks to ensure consistency and scalability
  • Support the evaluation, selection, and implementation of PMO tools and technologies to enable effective planning, tracking, and reporting
  • Establish and enforce best practices for program and project delivery, including risk management, dependency management, and governance
  • Provide strategic oversight and hands-on leadership across multiple initiatives, ensuring alignment to business objectives and measurable outcomes
  • Build strong relationships with executive stakeholders and influence decision-making across all levels of the organization
  • Mentor and guide project managers, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and delivery excellence
  • Drive change management and organizational adoption of PMO processes and standards
