About The Position

Meridian Cooperative is seeking a Director of Project Management to lead the successful delivery of strategic initiatives across the organization. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment—someone who can both drive execution and develop high-performing project management teams. As a key leader, you will oversee project delivery, establish best practices, and ensure alignment with business objectives, while also serving as a working project manager on critical initiatives.

Requirements

  • PMP® certification (required)
  • 8+ years of project management experience, including managing multiple concurrent projects
  • Proven experience leading or mentoring project managers
  • Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies
  • Experience building or supporting PMO functions and governance models
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex projects across the organization
  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of Project Managers, driving accountability and performance
  • Establish and scale PMO standards, tools, and governance frameworks
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
  • Monitor portfolio performance through KPIs, reporting, and delivery metrics
  • Identify and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies across projects
  • Drive project intake, prioritization, and resource planning
  • Partner with business and technology leaders to align initiatives with company strategy
  • Oversee change management and governance processes
  • Manage external vendors, consultants, and third-party partners
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across project delivery practices
  • Provide regular updates and insights to executive leadership

  • Paid Time Off: Eligible to begin accrual from date of hire; accrual amount based on years of service. Beginning accrual rate equivalent to 22 days per year. 9 holidays which include the day after Thanksgiving, and Christmas Eve. Up to 240 hours of PTO can roll over to the following year.
  • Volunteer Time: 8 hours per year
  • Retirement: Robust 401K. Following one year of eligible service, the Company contributes in two ways: (1) match of 100% of each dollar you contribute on the first five percent (5%) of eligible compensation, and (2) Employer basic contribution of 4% of base salary (with increases in basic contribution percentage based on years of service). Employees are 100% vested in Company funded contributions from the date they enter the plan.
