About The Position

Buchart Horn is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Project Delivery to support the implementation and continuous improvement of firmwide project delivery processes. In this leadership role, you’ll work closely with Project Managers, operational leadership, and technical teams to drive project quality, consistency, risk management, and overall project performance across the organization. This position plays a key role in supporting project execution standards, mentoring Project Managers, and helping ensure projects are delivered efficiently, profitably, and in alignment with company objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of project management experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory or leadership experience
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) required
  • Strong understanding of project delivery processes, project financial performance, and risk management practices
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across teams and departments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related business software platforms

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a member of the Project Delivery Initiative Team to support and maintain the Buchart Horn Project Management Process
  • Assist in the design and implementation of training and communication programs related to project delivery procedures
  • Maintain and update project management resources and tools as needed
  • Review and audit project metrics, project performance, and compliance with company processes
  • Review contractual obligations with Project Managers throughout the project lifecycle
  • Provide guidance and support to Project Managers in addressing project challenges, identifying at-risk projects, and managing client expectations
  • Review project overruns and assist with implementation of corrective actions
  • Assist in establishing project profitability goals and performance expectations
  • Support leadership in tracking and reporting project performance and compliance metrics
  • Implement and maintain QA/QC procedures and project delivery standards
  • Support firmwide risk management processes and assist Project Managers in minimizing project risk
  • Maintain action plans related to project audit findings and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Assist and advise PM Panels and support implementation of new project delivery initiatives
  • Mentor both new and existing Project Managers across the organization
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned
