About The Position

This role sits within Walmart’s Workforce Transformation team and helps drive enterprise workforce and organization priorities from insight through execution. You will lead work across Speed and Structure, workforce transitions, organizational effectiveness, and enterprise planning, partnering closely with People, Finance, Workforce Intelligence and Insights, Total Rewards, and business leaders. The role requires strong analytical judgment, program leadership, and the ability to turn complex data and stakeholder input into clear decisions and actions. You will also help improve the processes, tools, and governance that support large-scale organizational change and strengthen how Walmart plans, structures, and evolves its workforce effectively at scale. The Workforce Transformation team helps Walmart translate business priorities into workforce and organization decisions. We build the evidence and frameworks that inform those decisions and manage the human side of complex transitions, whether driven by AI, organizational restructuring, or M&A integration. Our role is to connect business strategy to workforce strategy and help Walmart evolve its workforce and ways of working with rigor, speed, and care for our associates.

Requirements

  • Proven expertise leading complex, enterprise-wide programs from problem definition through decision and execution.
  • Strong analytical and strategic judgment, with the ability to synthesize workforce, organizational, and business data into clear recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in ambiguity, anticipate risks and dependencies, and adapt quickly as priorities change.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder leadership skills, including influencing senior leaders, building cross-functional alignment, and simplifying complex topics.
  • Experience improving processes, governance, and operating mechanisms to drive measurable outcomes at scale.
  • Ability to lead through influence, create accountability, and build strong partnerships across teams and functions without formal authority in complex enterprise environments effectively.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field and 5 years’ experience in data management, business analytics, statistics, or related area OR 7 years’ experience in data analysis, statistics, computer science, or related area.
  • 2 years’ supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise Speed and Structure reviews, partnering with Workforce Intelligence and Insights to assess headcount, spans, layers, ratios, attrition, and other workforce signals.
  • Coordinate enterprise deliverables, resolve data and organizational questions, and surface critical issues for senior leadership.
  • Program manage workforce transitions, including timelines, expectations, communications, stakeholder coordination, and contingency planning.
  • Improve M&A and workforce transition processes, using operational metrics, customer feedback, and AI where appropriate.
  • Connect workforce inputs into AOP, LRP, and Total Rewards planning.
  • Support organization design tools, enterprise structure changes, benchmarking, modeling, and development of practical playbooks for large-scale organizational change.
