About The Position

The Director of Product Marketing is responsible for defining and activating Landis+Gyr’s product and platform narrative, translating deep technical capability into clear customer value and commercial impact. This role ensures our portfolio is positioned with clarity, credibility, and relevance as utilities and critical infrastructure providers modernize their grids and operations. As Landis+Gyr expands its leadership position from hardware into platform-led, intelligence-driven solutions, the Director of Product Marketing will play a central role in shaping how our solutions are understood, differentiated, and adopted. Product Marketing owns market insight, positioning, buyer messaging, launch orchestration and commercial enablement. Product Management is responsible for defining the product and roadmap. Product Marketing is responsible for defining the market opportunity, shaping the narrative, and driving successful commercialization and customer adoption. This is a strategic and hands-on role requiring strong technical fluency, customer empathy, and the ability to operate in complex, regulated enterprise environments.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of experience in product marketing within enterprise software, platforms, or complex B2B technology environments.
  • Strong technical fluency, with the ability to understand and communicate cloud, software, data, and systems-based solutions.
  • Proven experience leading go-to-market strategy and multiple product launches.
  • Demonstrated success enabling enterprise sales teams and supporting complex buying cycles.
  • Exceptional storytelling, messaging, and content development skills.
  • Experience working with industry analysts and thought leaders.
  • Ability to move quickly while also building scalable processes and best practices.
  • Strategic thinker with a strong execution mindset.
  • BA/BS required

Responsibilities

  • Own product and platform positioning across the Landis+Gyr portfolio, ensuring clarity, consistency, and differentiation. This includes market segmentation, ICPs/buyer personas, use cases and buyer journeys.
  • Translate complex capabilities, hardware, software, data, and intelligence into customer-centric value propositions focused on outcomes such as resilience, reliability, affordability, and sustainability.
  • Develop messaging frameworks that enable consistent storytelling across sales, marketing, and partner teams.
  • Lead go-to-market strategy for new product introductions, platform enhancements, and product releases.
  • Partner with product management to bring market, buyer and competitive insight into roadmap and portfolio decisions.
  • Develop tiered launch governance, launch readiness criteria and post-launch adoption reviews, launch plans, sales enablement, and field-ready assets that drive adoption and growth.
  • Equip sales teams with clear narratives, competitive positioning, market intelligence, and practical tools to engage enterprise buyers, including competitor tracking, battlecards, category trends, and implications for portfolio and go-to-market choices.
  • Spend time with customers and prospects to understand needs, buying dynamics, and decision criteria.
  • Support strategic deals and build repeatable sales enablement through messaging, demos, RFP responses, and executive presentations.
  • Create and oversee high-impact product marketing content, including whitepapers, case studies, demos, videos, and presentations.
  • Partner with Communications to align product storytelling with the broader corporate narrative and media strategy.
  • Contribute to Landis+Gyr’s leadership point of view in intelligent energy and grid modernization.
  • Work closely with Demand Generation and Digital teams to design cohesive customer journeys and experiences.
  • Collaborate with Communications, Sales, Product, and Customer teams to ensure alignment and execution.
  • Lead and scale product marketing processes, tools, and best practices to support growth.
  • Support engagement with industry analysts and influencers as it relates to product capabilities and roadmap.
  • Ensure analysts clearly understand Landis+Gyr’s solutions, differentiation, and market direction.
  • Define and track KPIs for product marketing effectiveness, including launch performance, pipeline influence, and sales enablement impact.
  • Continuously refine strategy and execution based on market feedback and performance data.
  • Strengthen product and platform messaging governance to ensure consistency, clarity, and executive readiness in a future public-company environment, in close coordination with Communications, Marketing, and leadership.
