About The Position

Snowflake is hiring a Director of Product Management for Data Transformation within its Frontier Engineering organization. The role owns Snowflake’s Data Transformation product portfolio, which helps enterprises transform their data estates for Agentic AI. The portfolio spans platform foundation and migration; data ingestion and engineering; semantic, context, ontology, and governance layers; intelligent migration of legacy application logic; multi-source ingestion; data warehouse modernization; ETL/ELT transformation; and data platform rationalization. The Director will define product vision and strategy across the transformation stack, lead and develop a team of product managers, partner closely with engineering leadership, and drive roadmap execution with an MVP mindset. The role also includes working with Marketing, field teams, and executive customers to support positioning, migrations, and adoption, as well as representing Snowflake externally on legacy modernization and AI-first data architecture. Snowflake describes its desired employees as AI-native, curious, low-ego, experimental, and comfortable in fast-moving environments. The company emphasizes using AI as a collaborator and testing emerging capabilities to find effective ways to deliver results.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in data infrastructure, with a proven track record delivering enterprise-scale data platforms, migration tooling, query engines, or pipeline infrastructure.
  • Experience building, managing, and mentoring high-performing product management teams.
  • Hands-on familiarity with modern data ecosystems, including SQL execution, ETL/ELT patterns, declarative pipelines, and workflow orchestration.
  • Practical understanding of applied GenAI capabilities, such as automated code translation, developer co-pilots, semantic validation, and LLM-driven refactoring.
  • Ability to navigate technical ambiguity, make sound decisions using data and judgment, and reduce enterprise customers’ time-to-value.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate complex architectural capabilities clearly and compellingly to customers, field leadership, and executives.

Responsibilities

  • Own the strategic roadmap across the full transformation stack, from platform migration to semantic and context layers.
  • Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing product management team, fostering velocity, accountability, and technical rigor.
  • Partner with engineering leaders to shape execution strategies and balance engineering effort with long-term architectural scalability across pipeline and query transformation workloads.
  • Set roadmap milestones, prioritize initiatives, and drive cross-functional alignment using an MVP mindset.
  • Partner with Marketing, field teams, and executive customers to position transformation capabilities, accelerate migrations, and drive platform adoption.
  • Serve as an external voice for Snowflake and help shape the industry narrative around legacy modernization, automated pipeline refactoring, and AI-first data architecture.
