The full Pay Range is $155,200.00 - $288,000.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a technology, business, or related discipline
  • 8+ years of product management or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience
  • Financial services experience required
  • Experience overseeing all phases of the product development lifecycle
  • Proven experience leading cross‑functional teams
  • Demonstrated ability to develop product strategies informed by the voice of the customer
  • Experience managing and maintaining vendor relationships
  • Experience improving product development processes, ways of working, and development velocity
  • Comfort operating in environments with ambiguity, change, and evolving priorities

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree preferred
  • Digital banking expertise strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to proactively identify business and customer needs, navigate obstacles, and develop solutions with minimal supervision
  • Experience with open banking concepts and shaping open banking strategy across product, technology, compliance, and third‑party partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Define, guide, and oversee the vision, strategy, roadmap, and delivery for complex digital banking products and strategic transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with BECU’s growth and member experience goals.
  • Drive informed, data-backed decisions across the product lifecycle, balancing member needs, business priorities, and long-term platform evolution.
  • Partner closely with technology, design, analytics, operations, and business stakeholders to identify opportunities, close gaps, and implement strategies that improve digital experiences and ways of working.
  • Evaluate feedback, research, and insights to identify product opportunities, integrating the voice of the member into product strategies and sharing recommendations broadly across the organization.
  • Lead improvements to product management processes, ensuring teams leverage research, industry best practices, and effective prioritization to improve delivery velocity and outcomes.
  • Define and monitor success metrics for digital banking products and capabilities, strengthening analytics practices and creating accountability for product and team goals.
  • Provide thought leadership on industry trends, digital banking evolution, and modern product practices to support BECU’s ongoing platform transformation.
  • Oversee product financials, including projections, budgets, and expense reporting, while managing and maintaining relationships with key vendors and industry partners.
  • Collaborate with Design to drive discovery, research, and the delivery of cohesive experience journeys across member and employee touchpoints.
  • Mentor and coach individuals and teams, provide ongoing feedback, support professional growth, and foster strong collaboration and knowledge-sharing across the organization.
