About The Position

The Director Product Line Management will define and own the global club architecture across all categories, establishing clear segmentation, price/value ladders, and consumer targeting. This role will drive portfolio simplification, differentiation, and margin integrity. The Director will set direction and standards for Golf Club categories, lead and manage Product Line Managers (PLMs) as category owners, and oversee the end-to-end lifecycle management for respective categories. Responsibilities include ensuring excellence in product briefs, positioning, and lifecycle execution, driving calendar adherence, issue resolution, and cross-functional alignment. The role also involves owning the product vision, partnering with R&D on key performance metrics, and translating tour insights, customization, and data into retail product advantage. Key partnerships with entities like Arccos and LAGP will be managed. The Director will convert consumer insights, fitting data, and competitive trends into product strategies and briefs for R&D, and partner with R&D, Operations, and Global Sales regions to commercialize differentiated innovation. Identifying whitespace opportunities and ensuring the product line is focused on areas where the brand can win and gain market share are crucial. The role also entails leading product launches with full cross-functional readiness, ensuring regional alignment, partnering with Marketing on product storytelling and demand creation, and driving sales readiness, training, and regional engagement. Supporting pricing strategy aligned to margin targets is also a key function. Externally, the Director will serve as Cobra Golf’s trusted product spokesperson, representing the brand to industry media, retailers, and key partners, and supporting Marketing in defining product storytelling across various channels and events. The role aims to elevate brand credibility in performance and innovation.

Requirements

  • 10+ years experience, preferably in product line management/product marketing (golf or performance sporting goods preferred)
  • 7+ years in managing and leading teams
  • BS/BA Degree
  • Proven ability to manage product categories and lead cross-functional execution
  • Strong commercial acumen (pricing, margin, sell-in/sell-through)
  • Strong analytical skills – data driven decision making
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills (internal + external)
