About The Position

We are seeking the best talent for a Director, Product Group Leader. The preferred location is Raritan, NJ. Other offices in NJ or PA will be considered. The Director, Product Group Leader (PGL) for Participant Data Collection sets the vision, strategy, and objectives for the Participant Data Collection Product Group and is accountable for holistic value delivery across the participant data collection ecosystem. This leader partners with business and technology stakeholders to define and deliver product outcomes across applications including Electronic Data Capture (EDC), Safety Gateway, electronic Clinical Outcomes Assessments (eCOA), and EHR-to-Sponsor data exchange.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience in technology.
  • Significant experience leading digital products and/or platforms, with accountability for strategy, outcomes, and measurable business value.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with business and technology leaders to shape demand, define roadmaps, and deliver outcomes in complex, matrixed environments.
  • Strong understanding of user needs and industry/technology trends; ability to articulate a compelling value proposition and end-to-end product vision.
  • Experience establishing product metrics and governance to drive prioritization, transparency, and value realization.
  • Proven people leadership: building high-performing teams, developing talent, and fostering a culture of empowerment and accountability.
  • Comfort operating with ambiguity; strong communication, influence, and change leadership skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in clinical research and participant data collection domains, including one or more of: EDC, eCOA, safety data exchange/gateways, and EHR-to-sponsor interoperability.
  • Knowledge of relevant standards and interoperability approaches (e.g., CDISC concepts, HL7/FHIR) and data privacy/security considerations.
  • Experience delivering regulated GxP systems and operating in validated environments, including strong quality and compliance mindset.
  • Track record of modernizing platforms and driving adoption through change management, training, and operational readiness.

Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate the Product Group vision, strategy, goals, and measurable outcomes for Participant Data Collection; co-shape strategic demand with business partners and align business and technology strategies.
  • Own value delivery and roadmap outcomes across the participant data collection application landscape, including EDC, Safety Gateway, eCOA, and EHR-to-Sponsor data exchange, ensuring a cohesive end-to-end experience.
  • Partner with clinical, safety/pharmacovigilance, data management, quality, and technology leaders to translate needs into prioritized product roadmaps, releases, and capabilities.
  • Ensure product teams are building the right things by establishing clear product intent, success metrics, and governance; manage stakeholder expectations and trade-off decisions.
  • Lead cross-product roadmap and release planning; identify and resolve dependencies, risks, and resource collisions across teams and adjacent Product Groups.
  • Define and track metrics focused on business value realization throughout the product lifecycle (e.g., adoption, cycle times, quality/compliance outcomes, end-user KPIs, team health, and product group maturity).
  • Drive Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and other executive forums for the Product Group, communicating progress, outcomes, risks, and investment needs.
  • Partner with portfolio and funding leaders to plan capacity, manage budgets/financials, and ensure appropriate funding allocation aligned to value delivery.
  • Enable successful rollout, training, and continuous improvement across the product lifecycle, collaborating across functions/regions/markets as applicable.
  • Champion a culture of agility, accountability, and inclusion, and develop/retain talent to sustain high-performing product teams.
