The Director of Procurement for Parts and Equipment will lead procurement activities across the North American region. This role provides strategic and operational leadership to drive disciplined execution of category strategies across Cargill. You will build and inspire a high‑performing team, lead change where needed, and oversee end‑to‑end sourcing activities to deliver measurable business value and outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR equivalent experience
  • Minimum of six years of related work experience

Nice To Haves

  • Three or more years of supervisory experience
  • Previous experience in Procurement, Maintenance and Reliability, Engineering or other Manufacturing operations experience
  • Experience in Parts or Equipment Procurement

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight of the sourcing process, ensuring the Parts and Equipment Team is aligned with enterprise, business, and procurement objectives.
  • Drive value creation through data and metrics by setting clear goals, strengthening supplier agreements and relationships, and advancing team capabilities and expertise.
  • Support established process initiatives and identify opportunities for improvement and value creation, fostering an engaging culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Align team resources to deliver short and long‑term strategies and achieve Procurement and Business objectives. Build and maintain strong relationships with regional business stakeholders anticipating needs and enabling strategic outcomes.
  • Lead collaboration with internal and external partners, participating cross‑functionally to identify and advance opportunities within the Parts and Equipment category.
  • Apply procurement and leadership experience, plus an understanding of regional markets and spend to advise and influence decision making.
  • Ensure accountability for performance targets and expense management.
  • Lead and develop a team of professionals, including responsibility for hiring, performance management, coaching, and disciplinary actions.
  • Partner with peers to ensure talent decisions align with current and future organizational needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
