About The Position

As Director, Process & Project Management (PMO), you will lead the design, standardization, and governance of core operational processes across the organization, while overseeing the enterprise Project Management Office (PMO). This role is responsible for driving disciplined execution of strategic initiatives, improving process consistency and scalability, and ensuring projects deliver measurable business outcomes. You will operate at the intersection of strategy and execution, partnering with senior leaders to prioritize initiatives, structure delivery, and embed sustainable process improvements across all divisions.

Requirements

  • Project Management certification from PMI (PMP or PgMP) required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Project Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7–10+ years of progressive experience in project management, PMO leadership, and/or process improvement.
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional projects and implementing standardized processes at scale.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and portfolio governance practices.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or operating within a PMO structure.

Nice To Haves

  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification strongly preferred.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience in multi-unit hospitality, restaurant, or retail operations strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the identification, design, and standardization of key cross-functional operational processes to improve consistency, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Partner with Concept, Regional, and Functional leaders to assess current-state processes and define future-state solutions.
  • Establish governance frameworks to ensure process adherence, continuous refinement, and long-term sustainability.
  • Serve as the enterprise owner and ambassador of core operational processes, ensuring alignment across brands and divisions.
  • Lead and evolve the Project Management Office (PMO), establishing best-in-class project governance, prioritization, and execution standards.
  • Oversee a portfolio of strategic and operational initiatives, ensuring delivery on time, on budget, and aligned to business objectives.
  • Implement and maintain project management tools, reporting frameworks, and performance metrics to provide transparency and accountability.
  • Define and manage intake, prioritization, and resource allocation processes for enterprise initiatives.
  • Take ownership of select large-scale, cross-functional strategic projects.
  • Partner with senior leaders to translate business priorities into structured project plans with clear milestones, ownership, and success metrics.
  • Act as a key liaison across functions to ensure alignment, remove barriers, and drive execution discipline.
  • Support leaders in building business cases, including defining scope, benefits, risks, and ROI.
  • Facilitate governance forums and executive updates, including monthly reporting to the Operating Committee.
  • Lead structured process improvement initiatives using data, root cause analysis, and practical implementation approaches.
  • Drive the planning and execution of Kaizen events and focused improvement projects.
  • Establish standard toolkits, methodologies, and templates for process improvement and project delivery.
  • Build, lead, and develop a team of subject matter experts in process design, project management, and implementation support.
  • Coach leaders and operators on process adoption, project execution, and change management practices.
  • Partner with Learning & Development to ensure processes and tools are supported by clear, practical, field-ready training resources.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively at all levels of the organization, ensuring alignment on priorities, progress, and outcomes.
  • Drive clarity, structure, and accountability in how initiatives are communicated, executed, and sustained.
  • Support brand development and new program launches by ensuring operational processes are clearly defined, scalable, and executable in the field.
