We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Director, Portfolio Manager to join our Newton team at BNY Investments. This role is located in Boston, MA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • 10-15 years of total work experience preferred
  • over 10 years of investment experience preferred for MBAs or CFAs.

  • Advanced/graduate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Portfolio Management responsibilities for US thematic Tech and US Equity Growth franchise.
  • Contribute across the platform on ideas and challenge across US growth stocks and US equities in general.
  • Develop the US growth equity franchise in terms of philosophy , process, and performance.
  • Actively participate supporting distribution to grow flows and develop the franchise in the funds managed
  • Support the platform overall in terms of Portfolio Management input , company contact and analysis and help provide leadership in the US office.
  • Manage a significant amount of assets independently within investment policy guidelines.
  • Meet with clients and new business prospects to communicate investment strategy, discuss market performance and current market conditions.
  • Oversee the evaluation of the performance of investments and makes timely changes to a portfolio to meet investment objectives or allocation guidelines.
  • Make business decisions based on key stakeholder input, data, and information that helps the business track key performance indicators.
  • Make informed decisions on changes that impact the portfolio.
  • A critical influence to the retention of the fund/strategy, will act as a spokesperson for funds.
  • Investment committee responsibilities and commit to sharing and developing policies and strategies to improve the business performance.
  • Independently manages a significant amount of assets, including flag ship funds.
  • Contributes to team/firm profitability by assuring retention and expansion of existing client relationships by contributing to superior investment performance and client services.
