We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Director, Portfolio Manager to join our Newton team at BNY Investments. This role is located in Boston, MA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Advanced/graduate degree preferred.
  • 10-15 years of total work experience preferred.
  • Over 10 years of investment experience preferred for MBAs or CFAs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a significant amount of assets independently within investment policy guidelines.
  • Meet with clients and new business prospects to communicate investment strategy, discuss market performance and current market conditions.
  • Oversee the evaluation of the performance of investments and makes timely changes to a portfolio to meet investment objectives or allocation guidelines.
  • Make business decisions based on key stakeholder input, data, and information that helps the business track key performance indicators.
  • Make informed decisions on changes that impact the portfolio.
  • Act as a spokesperson for funds, influencing the retention of the fund/strategy.
  • Participate in investment committee responsibilities and commit to sharing and developing policies and strategies to improve the business performance.
  • Independently manage a significant amount of assets, including flagship funds.
  • Contribute to team/firm profitability by assuring retention and expansion of existing client relationships by contributing to superior investment performance and client services.
