About The Position

Juniper Square is hiring a Director, PMO to lead program management across its engineering organization, including its largest and most strategic enterprise engagements. The role leads client-facing delivery for complex customers, working directly with executives and internal stakeholders to build project plans and drive execution in partnership with engineering, product, and go-to-market teams. The Director serves as a bridge between engineering leadership and customers, manages and develops a team of program and technical program managers, and remains hands-on in personally driving the highest-stakes initiatives. Reporting directly to the Chief Development Officer, the role partners with R&D leadership to shape PMO structure, standards, delivery governance, and long-term team growth. It also establishes company-wide program reporting standards, including a common R&D leadership dashboard that provides consistent visibility into status, risks, and milestones. Juniper Square describes itself as an Operations Partner for private markets, unifying technology, data, and fund administration services. The company has more than 1,000 employees and supports digital-first collaboration across multiple countries, with offices in San Francisco, New York City, Mumbai, and Bangalore. Employees may work fully remotely or from an office. The position requires 12+ years of program management experience, including 4+ years leading a SaaS PMO or program function at director level, and a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related technical field. Domestic and international travel may be needed for client engagements and team or executive meetings. The U.S. base salary range is $200,000–$250,000, plus annual bonus, equity, and benefits.

Requirements

  • Experience managing and developing a team of program or technical program managers.
  • Ability to build trust and drive outcomes across engineering leadership without direct authority over delivery teams.
  • Hands-on experience building and running a multi-step AI or Cowork workflow; use of ChatGPT only to draft documents does not meet this qualification.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed for key client engagements and team or executive meetings.
  • Experience managing and aligning program management functions and engineering squads across multiple geographies.
  • Direct experience driving high-stakes, large-scale enterprise deployments and managing complex, multi-million-dollar strategic customer engagements with executive stakeholders.

  • PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent certification.

Responsibilities

  • Own program management across the engineering organization and serve as the single point of accountability for program health across multiple engineering leaders' portfolios.
  • Lead client-facing delivery for large and complex enterprise engagements, representing engineering with customers and partnering with Sales, Customer Success, and Product from pre-close through implementation and go-live.
  • Build and administer a company-wide program reporting standard, including a common dashboard for R&D leadership to provide visibility into status, risks, and milestones.
  • Manage and grow a team of program and technical program managers, establishing standards for program rigor, governance, and documentation.
  • Build partnerships with R&D leadership and drive cross-functional alignment so major initiatives have an accountable program manager embedded from the start.
  • Partner with the Chief Development Officer and R&D leadership to shape PMO structure, standards, delivery governance, and long-term team growth.
  • Personally drive day-to-day execution on the highest-stakes programs while setting direction for the function.
  • Design, run, and administer multi-step AI-powered workflows and PMO tooling, such as Cowork skills or scripted Jira and Confluence reporting.
  • Communicate effectively with senior leadership, presenting key updates, risks, and strategic initiatives.
  • Partner with product and engineering leaders on roadmaps, resource planning, and capacity allocation to keep milestones and deliverable timelines on track.
  • Identify, track, and mitigate risks and issues across strategic initiatives.
