About The Position

Valley Springs Behavioral Health Hospital offers compassionate, high-quality inpatient and outpatient mental health and co-occurring treatment for teens, adults, and seniors. We provide a full-range of evidence-based medical and clinical services in a state-of-the-art healing environment. Programs include inpatient mental health and co-occurring treatment, Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP), and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP). We are looking for a dynamic Director of Pharmacy who is passionate about helping others and is a team player!

Requirements

• Doctorate Degree: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) required
• Massachusetts State pharmacy license

Responsibilities

• Directs the department's activities and resources to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.
• Managing the work of others, including planning, assigning, scheduling and reviewing work, ensures quality standards.
• Responsible for hiring, terminating, training and developing, reviewing performance and administering corrective action for staff.
• Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
• Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
• Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
• Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding.
• Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.
• Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
• Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Position serves both internal co-workers and external customers, clients, patients, contractors, and vendors.
• Access to and/or works with sensitive and/or confidential information.
