About The Position

Our client, Crouse Health, is seeking a strategic and results-driven Director, Pharmacy Business Operations & 340B to lead the organization's established 340B Drug Pricing Program while playing a key role in the development and launch of a new retail pharmacy initiative. This newly elevated Director-level position combines oversight of a highly successful 340B program with responsibility for retail pharmacy business operations. The Director will partner closely with Finance, Pharmacy, Compliance, Revenue Cycle, Information Technology, Supply Chain, and external vendors to drive operational excellence, financial performance, regulatory compliance, and long-term growth.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Finance, Pharmacy Administration, Public Health, or a related field required.
Five to seven years of progressively responsible leadership experience in healthcare operations, pharmacy business operations, 340B administration, finance, compliance, revenue cycle, or a related field.
Direct experience managing or administering a 340B program required.
Retail pharmacy operations experience required.
Experience developing and implementing operational, financial, or strategic initiatives.
Demonstrated success managing projects, vendor relationships, and cross-functional teams.
Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple departments.
Expertise in 340B program operations, compliance, audit readiness, and optimization.
Strong understanding of retail pharmacy operations and pharmacy business models.
Financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management skills.
Ability to translate complex operational and financial data into actionable business recommendations.
Experience with pharmacy technology platforms, split-billing systems, and pharmacy supply chain processes.
Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent written, verbal, and executive-level communication skills.
Ability to operate independently and make sound business decisions with minimal oversight.
Proven relationship-building skills and the ability to lead change within established teams.

340B ACE certification, or the ability to obtain certification, is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic, operational, financial, and compliance leadership for the 340B Drug Pricing Program.
Maintain and optimize 340B program performance, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.
Identify and resolve operational challenges, including EMR-related workflow and mapping issues.
Lead planning, implementation, and ongoing business operations for Crouse Health's new retail pharmacy initiative.
Develop strategies to increase prescription capture and improve patient access to pharmacy services.
Monitor financial performance and establish key metrics related to pharmacy operations, revenue, savings, and growth opportunities.
Build business cases and implementation plans for future pharmacy expansion initiatives, including retail, specialty, ambulatory, and contract pharmacy services.
Oversee vendor relationships and serve as a key liaison with third-party administrators, consultants, wholesalers, and pharmacy partners.
Lead audit readiness activities and maintain appropriate policies, procedures, controls, and governance structures.
Partner with Finance and Revenue Cycle teams to ensure accurate reporting, reimbursement tracking, and financial reconciliation.
Manage and develop a growing team, including pharmacy and 340B personnel.
Lead cross-functional projects from planning through implementation, driving collaboration and organizational alignment.
Serve as a subject matter expert on pharmacy business operations, 340B strategy, reimbursement, and market opportunities.
