Director, Organizational Effectiveness & Integration

Astro Shapes LLCStruthers, OH
Hybrid

About The Position

The Director, Organizational Effectiveness & Integration is responsible for establishing and leading Astro Shapes’ enterprise Integration Management Office (IMO), Project Management Office (PMO), Continuous Improvement, and Learning & Development functions. This role serves as the organization's internal expert and owner of integration governance, project execution discipline, business process improvement, and organizational learning and capability development. This position is intentionally designed to build sustainable internal capability, ensuring the organization can successfully execute future acquisitions, integrations, strategic initiatives, and operational improvement efforts with minimal reliance on external consultants or temporary resources. The Director will partner closely with executive leadership to drive enterprise priorities, establish governance frameworks, monitor and control resource allocation, improve cross-functional execution, and create a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Experience owning integration, PMO, learning & development, or organizational effectiveness functions in-house
  • Comfortable operating at both strategic (governance, playbook design) and operational (workplan, dashboard) altitude
  • Track record of building repeatable internal capability, not just executing single initiatives
  • Willing to personally execute the work in functions that are not yet resourced, and to scale them into standing teams as demand justifies

Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve the due diligence integration playbook as a living asset, not a one-time deliverable
  • Serve as internal counterpart to (and eventual successor of) external strategic integration support
  • Lead governance for active integrations: project cadence, decision rights, escalation, risk surfacing
  • Build organizational readiness so future acquisitions can be led internally with minimal external dependency
  • Personally serve as the IMO including planning, sequencing, and executing integration workstreams hands-on.
  • Stand up and run a durable internal PMO function: project inventory, prioritization, workplan and dashboard discipline
  • Define and maintain RACI and reporting structures across cross-functional initiatives
  • Drive continuous improvement methodology and culture across the organization
  • Report portfolio health and improvement outcomes to VP, People & Organizational Effectiveness and other executive stakeholders
  • Oversee the Learning & Development function: assess enterprise capability gaps, build curricula, and manage training delivery
  • Design and run leadership and frontline development programs that support succession planning and internal mobility
  • Manage relationships with remaining external delivery support (e.g., execution-level contractors) during transition
  • Coach and develop internal team members as the function matures
  • Act as the named, accountable owner other departments look to for “how we do integration and improvement here”
