ROLE PURPOSE The Site Leader’s primary mission is to transform the facility into a highly efficient, automated, world-class printing and image processing operation. This will be achieved by embedding Lean manufacturing principles into every aspect of the business, with a relentless focus on performance in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) and a disciplined 5S environment. This is a highly visible leadership role requiring direct engagement with executive leadership, customers, and suppliers. The ideal candidate thrives in this environment, demonstrating a strong “can-do” mindset, executive presence, and a passion for innovation and continuous improvement. You'll be based onsite at our Morrisville, NC HQ and production facilities near RDU International Airport.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the printing or packaging industry, including significant upper management and full P&L responsibility.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related field required.
  • Advanced proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Six Sigma principles; formal certifications preferred.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented leader who thrives in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments and fosters a collaborative, team-first culture.
  • Deep, hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma, with a proven track record of leading successful Kaizen events and driving measurable operational improvements (Black Belt or equivalent strongly preferred).
  • Strong grasp of manufacturing finance, cost control, inventory management, and supply chain dynamics, with the ability to translate operational performance into financial results.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and build alignment across all levels of the organization—from front-line operators to executive leadership, customers, and suppliers.
  • Experience in an on-demand or high-mix, fast-turn production environment strongly preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and data visualization/analytics tools (e.g., Tableau) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a zero-harm culture through proactive risk identification, incident prevention, and full compliance with all EHS regulations, including air, water, and hazardous waste requirements tied to printing operations partnering across Sensaria sites to standardize safety practices.
  • Drive quality through standardization and structured problem-solving (RCA, Fishbone, 5 Whys) to eliminate defects across image production, product quality, and fulfillment, while upholding corporate and industry standards (including ISO frameworks) to consistently meet customer expectations.
  • Lead all aspects of production to optimize throughput, reduce lead times, and consistently achieve ≥98% on-time delivery, maximizing OEE across printing and automation assets and applying Lean tools such as Value Stream Mapping to eliminate bottlenecks and improve flow.
  • Own full site P&L and drive financial performance through labor optimization, waste reduction, and disciplined capital investment—managing departmental budgets (labor, materials, CAPEX), delivering against monthly, quarterly, and annual KPIs, and providing data-driven updates to executive leadership.
  • Build and lead a high-performing organization by recruiting, developing, and retaining top talent, partnering with HR to foster an "Employer of Choice" culture grounded in accountability, transparency, and engagement.
  • Serve as the site's Lean leader, embedding 5S, Kaizen, Leader Standard Work, and Managing for Daily Improvement into daily operations driving initiatives such as SMED, pull systems, Kanban, and visual management (e.g., Andon) to expose and eliminate waste.
  • Own the site's technology and automation roadmap, evaluating and deploying new equipment, print technology, and automation to expand capacity, improve quality, and lower unit cost.
  • Drive capital project execution end-to-end from business case and justification through installation, qualification, and ramp ensuring projects deliver expected ROI and are commissioned on time and on budget.
  • Champion equipment reliability and uptime through a proactive maintenance strategy (preventive and predictive), minimizing unplanned downtime across printing and automation assets.
  • Build and manage strong supplier and vendor relationships to secure material availability, quality, and cost competitiveness in support of high-mix, fast-turn production.
  • Serve as a key operational point of contact for customers, translating their requirements into production execution and resolving escalations to protect service levels and satisfaction.
  • Establish and govern site metrics and dashboards, using data-driven decision-making to monitor performance, expose gaps, and drive accountability against operational and financial targets.
  • Lead new product and process introduction, partnering with commercial and engineering teams to bring new offerings into production smoothly and on a scale.
  • Partner across Sensaria sites to share best practices, standardize processes, and support network-wide capacity, continuity, and growth planning.
