The Director Operations & Sales oversees and supports General Managers within a defined portfolio of retirement residences to meet/exceed key results related to financial performance, customer service, employee engagement, and managing risk & reputation. This role is specifically responsible for meeting/exceeding Net Operating Income (NOI) by maximizing occupancy and rate, as well as additional care and ancillary service revenue. The Director also oversees operational expenses, particularly workforce management and food costs. They have access to Chartwell consultants for sales strategy, care services, food & beverage, activities, customer experience, administration, HR, and operational efficiency. The role involves implementing Chartwell’s strategies, programs, policies, and procedures, and performance management of General Managers. Collaboration with corporate teams in marketing, communication, asset management, accounting, finance, and reporting is also key.
