The Director, Operations: Acceleration & Growth is a key leader within the Operations Acceleration & Growth team. Reporting to the Senior Director, this role helps build and run the operating system that turns enterprise priorities into clear, executable plans across the field. The Director owns the enterprise portfolio and review process, governance routines, operationalization frameworks, performance tools, and selected field enablement programs. The role works closely with Operations Directors and cross-functional partners to translate priorities into action, create visibility to progress and risks, and strengthen execution consistency across hospitals. Success in this role requires strong strategic thinking, structured problem solving, executive communication, project leadership, and the ability to influence across teams without relying on formal authority.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in operations, strategy, program management, performance improvement, or a related function within a multi-site healthcare, veterinary, or service organization.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives from design through implementation and adoption.
  • Strong project and program management skills, including governance, prioritization, risk management, stakeholder alignment, and performance tracking.
  • Ability to work effectively with senior leaders and field operators, influence without direct authority, and translate strategy into practical execution.
  • Strong analytical, written, verbal, and presentation skills; comfortable building executive-ready materials and performance reporting.
  • Bachelor's degree

Responsibilities

  • Own and continuously improve the enterprise Operations portfolio and review process, including intake, prioritization, status visibility, and executive review cadence.
  • Design and manage governance processes, executive reporting, decision forums, and escalation paths that improve accountability and speed of execution.
  • Build and maintain a practical six-step framework for operationalizing initiatives from planning through field adoption and sustainment.
  • Develop and administer the Operations Excellence Scorecard and related dashboards to track progress, adoption, and performance.
  • Support practice workload planning by creating tools and processes that help sequence enterprise initiatives and protect field capacity.
  • Lead implementation and execution planning for selected enterprise initiatives in partnership with business owners, including communications, training, field readiness, adoption, and performance follow-through.
  • Partner with Finance, Procurement, HR, IT, Marketing, Clinical, and other business teams to translate enterprise priorities into clear operating plans for field teams.
  • Create repeatable execution and adoption plans at the practice level, with clear milestones, owners, measures, and feedback loops.
  • Identify barriers to execution, drive cross-functional issue resolution, and escalate risks or decisions when needed.
  • Serve as a central point of contact for Operations Director and regional leadership questions related to enterprise initiatives, operating processes, and execution support.
  • Lead the strategic planning and coordination of field feedback loops, bridging collaboration, communication, and partnership between Operations and the Support Center to support continuous improvement.
  • Synthesize feedback into actionable insights, recommendations, and improvements for enterprise teams and executive leadership.
  • Partner with field leadership to reinforce operational consistency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Support the design and execution of Operations business reviews in partnership with Finance, including preparation, performance narratives, action tracking, and follow-through.
  • Monitor operational performance, identify trends and improvement opportunities, and develop dashboards or metrics that make priorities and results visible.
  • Support enterprise and Operations planning cycles, leadership summits, and priority-setting processes as needed.
  • Support change leadership for enterprise platform and process rollouts, including adoption planning, stakeholder engagement, communications, training, and reinforcement.
  • Develop practical tools, templates, playbooks, and resources that help leaders implement change effectively at the practice level.
  • Influence results without direct authority by building alignment, creating shared accountability, and moving complex cross-functional work forward.
  • Act as an enterprise partner to the Senior Director and broader Operations leadership team, taking ownership of complex, cross-functional work with limited direction.
  • Coach and support team members or project contributors as assigned and model a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Build executive-ready presentations, recommendations, and decision materials that simplify complex operational topics and support clear action.
