About The Position

DRTC is seeking an experienced Director of Workforce Development to provide strategic leadership for workforce development programs, employment services, vocational rehabilitation initiatives, and employer partnerships that support individuals with disabilities and other underserved populations in obtaining meaningful, competitive employment. This leadership role oversees program operations, compliance, workforce outcomes, community engagement, and staff development while advancing DRTC's mission of creating opportunities for people of all abilities to thrive. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Workforce Development, or related field required
  • 5-10 years of workforce development, nonprofit program management, or related leadership experience.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Valid Oklahoma Driver License required.
  • Pass required background checks and badge clearance requirements.
  • Stable work history and professional references.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree preferred
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities or underserved populations preferred.
  • Experience with public funding, grant compliance, and workforce development programs preferred.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
  • Experience supporting grant-funded programs, donor-funded initiatives, or mission-driven workforce models preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in leadership, strategic planning, community partnerships, and program development.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of workforce development strategies aligned with organizational goals and labor market needs.
  • Oversee workforce programs, including grant-funded initiatives, vocational rehabilitation services, and disability employment programs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with employers, workforce boards, community partners, and disability service providers.
  • Develop job placement pipelines and employment retention strategies.
  • Monitor program performance, employment outcomes, retention rates, and participant success metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and funding source requirements, including reporting and audit readiness.
  • Manage program budgets, funding opportunities, and fiscal accountability.
  • Supervise Employment Consultants, Employment Consultant Supervisor, Occupational Vocational Therapist, Work Incentive Planning Benefits Coordinator, DRTC Hub Program Facilitator, and assigned interns.
  • Foster a culture of inclusion, accountability, continuous improvement, and professional development.
  • Represent DRTC in workforce development, disability employment, and community engagement initiatives.
