About The Position

Under the direction of the Head Women’s Basketball Coach, the Director of Women’s Basketball Operations is responsible for overseeing the administrative and operational functions of the Razorback Women’s Basketball program. This position serves as a primary liaison between the program and various athletic department units while coordinating team logistics, travel arrangements for student-athletes, coaching staff, and recruits, and supporting the planning and execution of team events. The role also manages budget planning and tracking, maintains the team communication and scheduling platform, and assists with the administration of home women’s basketball games. In addition, the Director of Women’s Basketball Operations contributes to the coaching and development of student-athletes through on-court instruction, skill development, and other coaching responsibilities as assigned by the Head Women’s Basketball Coach. The position also supports the coordination of official and unofficial recruiting visits and works closely with coaches, current and former student-athletes, recruits, and other stakeholders to promote the overall efficiency and success of the program. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty. as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education
  • At least three years of relevant sport team operations experience at the NCAA collegiate level
  • Experience with budget planning and management
  • Experience with sport team travel coordination and expense reports
  • Coaching experience in the sport of women’s basketball at the NCAA collegiate level
  • Knowledge of NCAA and SEC rules and regulations
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; motivated self-starter
  • Proficiency in computer applications and sports management software
  • Availability to work flexible hours, occasional evening and weekend hours required, especially during sports seasons and events and travel as necessary with team
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment

  • Experience managing charter flights
  • Knowledge and experience with NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball as a student-athlete, coach, or administrator
