Requirements
- Previous Used Car Manager experience or strong automotive sales management background required.
- Proven track record of driving sales performance and department profitability.
- Strong knowledge of appraisals, auctions, inventory acquisition, and market-based pricing strategies.
- Leadership mentality with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Analytical mindset with strong decision-making abilities.
- Customer-focused approach and commitment to delivering exceptional service.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- High school diploma required; college degree preferred.

Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the pre-owned department while driving sales performance, inventory strategy, profitability, and team success.
- Source and acquire quality pre-owned inventory through auctions, trades, and direct purchases.
- Appraise trade-ins and determine competitive market values.
- Analyze market trends and adjust pricing strategies to maximize profitability and inventory turn.
- Ensure inventory is properly merchandised, reconditioned, and front-line ready.
- Monitor aging inventory and implement strategies to maintain healthy inventory levels.
- Manage all daily operations of the used vehicle department.
- Work closely with the sales team to drive pre-owned vehicle sales performance.
- Develop, coach, and motivate sales staff to improve productivity and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with finance, service, and leadership teams to ensure smooth dealership operations.
- Review department KPIs, sales reports, and profitability metrics regularly.
- Maintain strong customer relationships and assist with escalated customer concerns when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, manufacturer standards, and legal requirements.
- Create a positive, high-performing, and team-oriented department culture.
- Drive operational excellence while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
