About The Position

Pattern is hiring a full-time Director of Transportation, North America to own its transportation function across North America. The role leads inbound freight, outbound freight, and direct-to-consumer (D2C) shipping, and sets the strategy for moving products between Pattern’s buildings, carriers, and marketplaces, including Amazon. The position is based in Lehi, Utah, and follows a hybrid schedule. The Director leads three direct reports responsible for inbound freight, outbound freight, and D2C. They own transportation budgets and spending, manage carrier and marketplace relationships, monitor cost and service performance using data, and partner with warehousing and inventory management leaders to keep goods moving between locations. The role focuses on the transportation function and does not own warehouse results. The Director reports to the VP of Supply Chain/Transportation and works cross-functionally with warehousing, inventory management, and finance. They will assess current operations and risks, deliver cost and service improvements, establish performance reporting and team goals, and develop a North America transportation strategy aligned with Pattern’s growth plans. The role provides regular exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to help build the foundation for a broader global footprint.

  • Experience leading a team in transportation.
  • A results-focused, proactive, data-driven approach to investigating and solving problems.
  • Ability to understand complexity, simplify it, and communicate clearly with executives.
