About The Position

Pattern is hiring a Director of Transportation, North America, to own the transportation function across North America. The role leads inbound freight, outbound freight, and direct-to-consumer (D2C) shipping, and sets the strategy for moving products among Pattern buildings, carriers, and marketplaces, including Amazon. It is a full-time, hybrid role based in Lehi, Utah. The Director manages transportation relationships, budgets, spending, cost, and service performance, and leads three direct reports responsible for inbound freight, outbound freight, and D2C. The position works with warehousing, inventory management, finance, carriers, Amazon, and other logistics partners. It reports to the VP of Supply Chain/Transportation and has regular exposure to senior leadership. The role is focused on the transportation function, not warehouse results. The successful candidate will investigate and resolve issues, improve cost and service, communicate clear recommendations to executives, and develop a North America transportation strategy that supports Pattern’s growth.

Requirements

  • Experience in one or two of inbound freight, outbound freight, and D2C, including experience working with parcel carriers; experience in all three is not expected.

  • Experience leading a team in transportation.
  • A results-focused, proactive, and data-driven approach to investigating and solving problems.
  • Ability to understand complexity, simplify it, and communicate clearly with executives.
