About The Position

As a Director of Transformation for a fast‑growing HVLP fitness brand, we’re scaling rapidly across multiple markets and building a finance function that can keep pace with our expansion. The Director of Transformation is a key leadership role responsible for strengthening our accounting infrastructure, ensuring financial accuracy, and supporting the VP of Accounting in building a public‑company‑ready environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high‑growth, multi‑unit environment and brings the discipline of public company experience to a dynamic, entrepreneurial setting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CPA‑track strongly preferred.
  • Public company experience required — ideally with exposure to multi‑unit retail, hospitality, or fitness.
  • 4–7 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and internal controls.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with system implementations (In Particular Oracle), ERP upgrades, or financial systems integration preferred.
  • SOX experience preferred, including documentation, testing, or readiness work.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations, including AP, AR, revenue recognition, and month‑end close.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Support consolidation of multi‑entity financials and intercompany activity.
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages for executive leadership and investors.
  • Lead initiatives to streamline and automate accounting workflows as the company scales from dozens to hundreds of locations.
  • Drive system implementations and upgrades, ensuring strong integration between operational and financial systems.
  • Develop and document accounting policies and procedures that support rapid growth and operational consistency.
  • Maintain and enhance internal controls across AP, AR, GL, and financial reporting.
  • Support SOX readiness and implementation efforts.
  • Assist with annual audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Real Estate, Talent, and FP&A to ensure financial accuracy and operational alignment.
  • Provide training and guidance to accounting staff and operational leaders.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting team members, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and development as the team expands.
