About The Position

ASI, a Banyan Software portfolio company, is at a pivotal inflection point, modernizing its technology infrastructure, scaling client operations, and driving enterprise-wide transformation. They are seeking a seasoned change leader to build their Project Management Office (PMO) from the ground up and own a 5-year transformation agenda. This role is crucial for defining the company's next chapter, acting as the connective tissue across technology, business operations, and client-facing initiatives, with direct reporting to senior leadership and visibility to the CEO, board, and investors. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, has a proven track record of building processes in new environments, and can drive execution in a fast-paced financial services organization without excessive corporate overhead.

Requirements

  • 7–10 years of project management experience in financial services or banking, with demonstrated scope across multiple business functions.
  • Background from smaller, multi-function financial organizations, not narrow-scope delivery roles at large corporate banks.
  • Proven track record building PM infrastructure from scratch, frameworks, workflows, and governance in environments without an established PMO.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects spanning CRM/technology platforms, business operations, and client-facing change management simultaneously.
  • Strong business acumen; ability to connect project outcomes to revenue, risk, and client impact.
  • Exceptional communicator comfortable presenting to C-suite executives, board members, and investors.
  • Self-starter with an ownership mindset; ability to drive outcomes independently and create structure in ambiguity.
  • Agnostic on methodology (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid); focus on outcomes and adapting approach to the organization’s pace.

Nice To Haves

  • Quantifiable achievements demonstrating organizational impact (e.g., supporting ARR growth, documented process savings, successful large-scale technology migrations).

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement ASI’s project management frameworks, tools, workflows, and governance from scratch.
  • Lead cross-functional transformation initiatives including Salesforce optimization, technology modernization, business events, and client change management.
  • Manage projects from scoping and stakeholder alignment through delivery, measurement, and sustained adoption, taking full ownership of outcomes.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and outcomes directly to the CEO, board, and investors on a regular basis.
  • Coach and support employees managing cross-functional projects alongside their primary roles, in the absence of formal PM infrastructure.
  • Drive a multi-year transition from legacy infrastructure to modern, cloud-based operations.
  • Identify process gaps and build lightweight, scalable solutions to eliminate organizational bottlenecks without creating bureaucracy.
  • Take charge of a complex Salesforce initiative requiring coordination across multiple business stakeholders with competing priorities.
  • Lead client-facing change management initiatives to ensure seamless adoption of new processes, systems, and workflows.
