About The Position

The Director of Title III Programs provides visionary leadership, strategic management, and absolute administrative and fiscal oversight for all Title III grants awarded to North Carolina Central University (NCCU) by the U.S. Department of Education. Authorized under the Higher Education Act of 1965, Title III funding is designed to strengthen the institutional capacity, academic quality, student success outcomes, and fiscal stability of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). The Director ensures that all funded “Activities” align seamlessly with NCCU’s Strategic Priorities and directly support the university’s efforts to meet key performance metrics mandated by the University of North Carolina (UNC) System Performance Agreement. This role guides multi-million-dollar institutional investments, driving student support initiatives from the undergraduate level to specialized professional divisions, such as the NCCU School of Law. By fostering closer collaboration with external institutional partners and internal campus divisions, the Director maximizes the sustainable impact of federal funding on student achievement and institutional growth. The Director serves as the primary liaison between the University, the UNC System Office, and the U.S. Department of Education.
