About The Position

Aspire Rural Health System is hiring a Director of The Heartlands, based in Marlette, Michigan. This full-time, day-shift leadership role oversees the senior living community’s daily operations, employee relations, resident and family engagement, financial performance, and regulatory compliance. The director develops and executes a strategy to make the community a preferred senior living provider in the market while growing revenue and profitability. The role also fosters an inclusive community culture that supports high-quality resident experiences and care and engages residents, families, and employees. The director must follow applicable laws, regulations, and Aspire Rural Health System policies and procedures. Full benefits are offered.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree, or 3–5 years of experience working in an assisted living or long-term care facility, or a combination of education and experience.
Current CPR/First Aid certificate.
Strong leadership skills.
In-depth understanding of community development and operations, with demonstrated ability to initiate and lead startup and operational efforts.
Knowledge of assisted living and memory care principles and federal and state licensing and regulations.
Knowledge of PC operations and software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Nice To Haves

Experience with elderly people and people with dementia is preferred.
