The University of Lynchburg, a private, regional university in the beautiful foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Central Virginia, is seeking applicants for Director of the Center for Career Engagement Opportunities (C.E.O.) full-time, regular position. This role provides comprehensive leadership for all components of career development, directly manages and supervises the career engagement team, and provides executive oversight for all career events and activities. The Director will collaborate with academic departments to integrate career readiness competencies into the undergraduate curricula, provide individual career counseling, and manage career assessments and digital development tools. This position also involves supervising assistant directors, leading the design and implementation of career programs, serving as the primary representative for career development, and nurturing employer relationships to facilitate recruitment opportunities for students and alumni. A key initiative includes spearheading the Career Champions program to connect alumni with students for mentoring.
