The ICTV Director of Technical Operations is responsible for overseeing all technical operations of the station. This role involves collaborating with Executive Staff to maintain technical policies and workflows for Producers, and acting as a resource for workflow completion. The Director coordinates with the Director of Programming for studio space and equipment allocation, and oversees the ICTV Checkout Center, including training its operators. They provide technical guidance and training, such as coordinating workshops, to all ICTV producers and volunteers. The position also serves as a liaison between ICTV Leadership, Manager of Facilities and Portable Equipment, Park Engineers, Administration, and Master Control Technicians. A key aspect is identifying and requesting budget allocations for technology and equipment upgrades to enhance station and programming quality. The Director is expected to meet weekly with the ICTV Executive Staff.
