About The Position

Vega is a cybersecurity startup building an AI-native security analytics and operations platform for SecOps and Cyber Defense teams. The Director of Technical Account Management owns Vega’s post-sale technical engagement model and scales the existing Technical Account Management organization. The role defines deployment standards, processes, playbooks, engagement models, and customer-value KPIs; hires and develops a global TAM team; and ensures strategic customers realize measurable value from onboarding through long-term impact. The role serves large, complex Fortune 500 and Global 2000 security organizations. It builds technical and executive relationships, acts as the senior technical escalation point for critical accounts, identifies and mitigates portfolio risks, and represents customer needs internally to influence product and roadmap decisions. The director partners with Account Management, Support, Product, and Engineering to support retention and resolve issues. The position reports directly to Vega’s Co-Founder & CTO and requires travel to customer sites approximately 50% of the time. Initial priorities include understanding top accounts and team gaps, establishing a hiring plan, defining account tiers and engagement playbooks, onboarding and developing new hires, reporting baseline customer-value metrics, and creating a feedback loop that informs the roadmap.
