About The Position

The Director of Talent Acquisition is a key member of the People Leadership Team, responsible for shaping and delivering an enterprise-wide hiring strategy that supports Foley’s long-term growth. You will lead talent acquisition across all levels, including early career, skilled trades, sales, experienced professionals, and executive hiring. In this role, you will oversee both recruiting and recruiting operations, ensuring the function is strategic, efficient, and scalable while delivering an exceptional candidate experience. This is a high-impact role that blends strategy, leadership, and hands-on execution. You will partner closely with leaders across the organization to attract top talent aligned with Foley’s culture, values, and future direction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
  • 6+ years of progressive talent acquisition or recruiting leadership experience
  • Experience leading hiring across multiple levels, including early career, skilled trades, sales, professional, and executive
  • Proven ability to lead both recruiting and recruiting operations teams
  • Strong background in talent acquisition strategy, workforce planning, and full-cycle recruiting
  • Ability to align recruiting strategies with business priorities and market conditions
  • Experience improving recruiting processes, workflows, and service delivery models
  • Ability to use metrics, market data, and insights to drive decisions and improve outcomes
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems, recruiting technologies, reporting tools, and marketing platforms
  • Strong relationship-building skills with leaders, hiring managers, HR, and external partners
  • Ability to influence decisions through sound judgment and clear communication
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Working knowledge of employment practices and compliance standards
  • Ability to represent Foley professionally in the talent market
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel

Responsibilities

  • Lead talent acquisition strategy across all hiring levels and align it to business priorities and workforce plans
  • Partner with business leaders and HR to anticipate needs, assess talent gaps, and build forward-looking recruiting strategies
  • Provide forecasting, reporting, and executive insights on hiring trends and talent market conditions
  • Lead and develop recruiting and recruiting operations teams, setting clear expectations and building capability
  • Coach and grow team members while fostering a high-performing, service-oriented culture focused on quality and speed
  • Drive accountability and consistency across the function
  • Oversee recruiting operations including processes, systems, reporting, governance, and vendor management
  • Optimize workflows, intake, selection practices, and handoffs to improve efficiency and decision quality
  • Ensure compliance, documentation, and alignment with organizational standards
  • Lead and evolve Foley’s employer brand and employee value proposition
  • Design a compelling, consistent candidate experience across the full hiring journey
  • Monitor feedback and continuously improve processes, quality of hire, and retention outcomes
  • Build strong pipelines for high-volume, hard-to-fill, and specialized roles across all talent segments
  • Enhance referral programs, community outreach, and long-term pipeline strategies
  • Develop partnerships with schools, trade programs, and industry organizations
  • Partner with Marketing and Communications to develop recruiting campaigns and messaging
  • Align with internal stakeholders to remove hiring barriers and improve outcomes
  • Support early career programs including internships and development pathways
  • Lead recruiting governance including compliance, selection practices, and vendor partnerships
  • Support escalated hiring decisions and maintain operational discipline across the function
  • Travel is required for training and to support recruiting efforts across locations
