About The Position

The Director of Surveillance is responsible for the strategic leadership and day-to-day oversight of all surveillance operations within the casino, ensuring the integrity of gaming activities, protection of assets, and safety of guests and employees. This role directs the design, operation, and continuous improvement of surveillance systems and investigative programs in compliance with all applicable gaming regulations, internal controls, and privacy laws.

Requirements

  • Strategic leadership and day-to-day oversight of all surveillance operations.

  • Directing the design, operation, and continuous improvement of surveillance systems and investigative programs.
  • Compliance with all applicable gaming regulations, internal controls, and privacy laws.
  • Experience with CCTV, digital recording systems, and analytics tools.
  • Experience directing investigations involving theft, fraud, cheating, policy violations, employee misconduct, and suspicious activities.
  • Coordination with Security, Human Resources, Audit, Compliance, and Gaming Operations departments.
  • Analysis of incidents and development of recommendations to reduce operational risk.
  • Preparation of detailed investigative reports and case documentation.
  • Ensuring compliance with all local, state, tribal, and federal gaming regulations.
  • Serving as a primary liaison with gaming regulatory agencies and law enforcement.
  • Maintaining surveillance operating procedures consistent with gaming commission requirements.
  • Supporting regulatory audits and inspections.
  • Managing surveillance system upgrades, maintenance, and vendor relationships.
  • Ensuring system functionality, reliability, and cybersecurity controls.
  • Monitoring trends related to fraud, loss prevention, and operational risks.
  • Generating and presenting reports to executive leadership.
  • Using surveillance data and analytics to improve security and operational effectiveness.
  • Developing key performance indicators (KPIs) for department performance.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee all surveillance department operations and personnel.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate surveillance staff.
  • Develop departmental goals, policies, procedures, and performance standards.
  • Create staffing schedules and manage departmental budgets.
  • Foster a culture of integrity, accountability, and professionalism.
  • Ensure continuous monitoring of all gaming areas, cash handling locations, and other critical casino operations.
  • Oversee the use and maintenance of surveillance technologies, including CCTV, digital recording systems, and analytics tools.
  • Ensure proper documentation and retention of surveillance records in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Review surveillance coverage plans and identify operational vulnerabilities.
