About The Position

Fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative and mission-driven leadership team within a respected, independent health system. This position will provide oversight of Perioperative Services across the organization, supporting high-quality, patient-centered surgical care in a dynamic and growing environment. The role involves leading a team of approximately 286 FTEs with multiple manager-level direct reports. The Director will drive strong surgeon relationships, optimize operational flow across high-volume services, stabilize team dynamics, and build leadership capability across managers and frontline teams. This position will also support ongoing growth initiatives while maintaining operational performance in a competitive, financially mindful environment. The role reports to the Chief Nursing Officer in a highly collaborative leadership structure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
  • Strong perioperative leadership experience required, including Operating Room exposure in a multi-room hospital setting.
  • Proven ability to lead through influence, coach and develop managers, and build physician relationships.
  • Experience managing complex service lines, including scheduling, budgeting, and quality/operational performance.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment with a strong, professional presence.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • Familiarity with Magnet culture and shared governance principles preferred.
