About The Position

The Director of Student Services is responsible for all aspects of student services at the University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM), College of Technology-Crossett. This includes overseeing recruitment and promotion, admissions, student attendance, student discipline/academic alerts, and the coordination of student services and engagement. The role involves direct interaction with potential and current students, providing information, assisting with applications and registration, and enforcing university policies. The Director also serves as the Title IX Coordinator and a liaison for concurrent students. This is a Professional Staff - Project/Program Administration position with a Day Shift work schedule.

Requirements

  • 5 years experience in supervising employees
  • 5 years experience in a leadership position that involves supervising students
  • Master's degree in educational leadership or administration
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment

Responsibilities

  • Meet with potential students and provide career/campus/program information
  • Conduct campus and program tours
  • Provide admissions information and assure that students submit required documentation
  • Assist with the administering and scheduling of admissions-related testing
  • Assist students with registration
  • Provide potential students with financial aid (FA) information
  • Assist students with making application for various types of financial aid
  • Process financial aid documentation and reports for TAA, WIOA, HDC, ARS, and other providers
  • Provide students with financial aid guidance in relation to their enrollment status
  • Attend Job Fairs, Career Fairs, College Night, and other recruitment-related events/activities
  • Make promotional presentations to civic and community organizations
  • Compose and process news articles
  • Develop, maintain, and update promotional materials for the campus and programs
  • Oversee the campus’ social media pages
  • Attend recruitment-related committee meetings
  • Enforce and monitor student-related policies and procedures
  • Maintain student attendance and enforce the attendance policy and procedures
  • Monitor and assist with established retention activities as related to student services
  • Address student disciplinary problems in accordance with the conduct and discipline policy
  • Coordinate and assist with student activities/events and organizations
  • Compile information and data for various student services report requested by administration
  • Serve as Title IX Coordinator
  • Assist with commencement exercises
  • Serve as student service liaison/communicator with high school principals for concurrent students’ attendance and conduct/disciplinary matters
  • Assist with graduation and other student-related activities
