The Director of Student Services will provide placement assistance to students and graduates by teaching skills in résumé-writing, job search strategies, and interviewing techniques. This role involves providing job leads, maintaining job bulletin boards, and assisting employers with placement. The Director will also coordinate and facilitate various student activities, including Student Government Association, student organizations, grievance hearings, and Advisory Boards Meetings. Responsibilities extend to coordinating graduation ceremonies, maintaining accurate graduate records and placement statistics, and participating in community and civic events. The position requires active engagement in professional associations, cross-functional team coordination, and completion of various surveys and reports, including employer and graduate surveys, accreditation reporting, and newsletters. The Director will also organize career fairs, participate in conferences and retreats, plan homecoming events, and obtain testimonials for the Wall of Fame. Regular employer visits, both on and off campus, are expected to foster relationships and generate new contacts. Additionally, the Director will coordinate new student orientation, order and distribute graduate diplomas and exit packets, make student ID cards, conduct workshops, and attend networking events.
